Review 416: Benromach 1969 42 Year

benroamag1969obIt’s not often that you get the change to taste an old Benromach. Normally this is far outside my price comfort zone, but in this instance a friend was willing to share a wee dram with me, thank you!

Conclusion:

This is a very rich, round and very well balanced dram. The flavors are very harmonious on the nose as well as on the palate. In shot this is a very elegant whisky that offers a very nice complexity and layering of flavours. It’s not a huge sherry monster but a beast of a whisky anyways.
